Since its inception in 1992, Kasturba Hemlata Mahila Samaj Kalyan Sansthan (KHMSKS) has been a leading NGO in India, driving impactful social transformation in rural Bihar and across the country. Recognized among the best NGOs in Delhi, KHMSKS is dedicated to empowering communities through sustainable and inclusive development.
Founded by Mr. Ganga Prasad Yadav, our journey began with a small group of passionate individuals determined to bring meaningful change at the grassroots level. Over the past three decades, KHMSKS has grown into one of the top 10 NGOs in Delhi, known for its transparent work, strong values, and community-centric approach.
Our initiatives focus on women’s empowerment, child education, drug de-addiction, skill development, healthcare, disaster management, and livelihood opportunities. We envision a society free from discrimination, where everyone — regardless of their economic or social background — has equal access to opportunities, dignity, and hope.
With a strong presence in Delhi and Bihar, KHMSKS works hand in hand with local communities, ensuring that beneficiaries become active participants in their own progress. Milestones 1992 – 2024
Foundation
Established by Mr. Ganga Prasad Yadav to empower underprivileged communities in rural Bihar.
National Child Labour Project Survey
Partnered with government agencies to identify and rehabilitate child laborers through educational activities.
MNREGA Employee Training & SHG Development
Conducted to skill rural workers; simultaneously initiated to strengthen women’s financial independence.

Residential Bridge Courses & Sanitation
Implemented under the Bihar Education Project, Patna, providing separate residential education for girls and boys, plus low-cost sanitation projects.

Vocational Training & Digital Empowerment
Launched government-recognized training in computer literacy and accountancy; collaborated under the Bihar Skill Development Mission.
- Kushal Yuva Program (ongoing)
ITI College Foundation
Established a new Industrial Training Institute in February 2018. Each year around 60 candidates graduate with certified technical and vocational skills.
Expansion of Nasha Mukti Kendra
De-addiction centers expanded across Bihar and Delhi, offering counseling, rehabilitation and awareness programs.
DDUGKY Success Story
Under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, 500+ rural youth were trained in hospitality, retail and IT, achieving an 80% placement rate.
Old Age Home & Rehabilitation Initiatives
Established and expanded old age homes and Nasha Mukti Kendras offering shelter, care and recovery programs.
PMKVY 4.0 Launch
Integrated under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 4.0) to enhance skill-based training and job opportunities for youth in Bihar and beyond.
